Outwitting The Devil ~ by Napoleon Hill
Because we have a mechanism in our brains which allows an infinite capacity to learn, technically, we could acquire all the knowledge in the universe if everyone we had the means of travel, manipulation of time, proper means of communication, and harmony. It is possible, just not very likely. This book goes so deep. This whole concept was just a little side tangent in the book too.
So I just got out of work, waiting in the mall parking lot and waiting for my ride to come get me. Its foggy out but it makes the night look serene. So I’m listening to Streets on Fire by Lupe Fiasco, and something just clicked in my head.
In my honest opinion, I feel like our minds are synonymous with the weather and connected to the universe. When I was looking off into the fog, into the distance, it reminded me of how in life, any of the decisions we make and what we experience, none of it is certain; similar to how you can’t see through fog. And then, we have theories and laws, but they only apply till they’re proven wrong.
With the nature’s weather and our emotions, you have your happiness (sunny skies), sadness (rain), anger (thunderstorms), stress (clouds represent stress), peacefulness (snow), note that with clouds you can still be happy but have stress in the back of your mind just like sunny skies can have clouds. And isn’t it interesting how Washington has the highest suicide rate in America and coincidentally has the most cloudy/rainy weather (stress/sadness?) It’s also quite interesting how we compare happenings in our lives to happenings in nature as well.
What gave me goosebumps were these two pictures:
Its like the universe really is in tandem with the brain. And I wonder if Michaelangelo thought like this when he created the Sistine Chapel?
Now obviously none of this has to make any logical sense but that’s the beautiful thing about thoughts. This is just what I take from it all, and it doesn’t have to make perfect logical sense cause my thoughts are my own. I just think it’s really beautiful and really beyond us how vast our world and existence is. Our brains are limitless in potential and that fact is breathtaking when you really think about it. We may not be the most mobile, but our consciousness allows us to travel far beyond what our physical bodies are capable of. However way we were created, I wonder if it was with the intent to be synonymous with the universe around us?
